​Especially For You started back in 1996 by Bill Thomas and Marcia Voeller. After selling their successful restaurant business, Marcia was able to achieve her life-long dream of owning a fine gift shop in the spectacular Carson Valley (in which they had been long time residents and staples in the Douglas County community). They purchased the Old Record Courier historical building and turned the 2,500 square feet of space into quite a gem for local shoppers and tourist alike.

Located in the heart of downtown Gardnerville, Nevada behind the famous J.T. Basque Restaurant, near the Historian Inn, and the iconic Sharkey’s Casino…Especially For You has developed into the top women’s clothing, jewelry, and gift shops around earning several “Best of Carson Valley” awards years after year.

The original logo was hand sketched on a napkin one night by a family friend at the aforementioned J.T. restaurant. It was the representation of Especially For You for many years until the new logo was inspired by one of their best-selling brands, Brighton, that features top of the line jewelry, charms, hand bags, luggage, etc.
